Charter of Global Technical Editor's Board Committee

SEMI® Technical Editors Board (TEB) Charter
(2-21-00 draft, amended 2-25-00 and 2-29-00)

We, the SEMI Technical Editors Board (TEB), facilitate efficient balloting and development of more useable documents by assisting in the creation of quality ballots.

Individually, we work with task forces to adjust draft ballot language so that:

  • technical content is clear and unambiguous
  • grammar is correct
  • text is easier to translate
  • formatting follows the Editorial Guidelines.

Collectively, we develop consensus solutions for inclusion in the Editorial Guidelines and electronic templates.

Collaboratively, we work with SEMI staff on an ad-hoc basis to improve the quality of documents and processes.
