1. Charter: (State the objective of the proposed TF.)
SEMI Standards specifications for materials require mutual agreement of customers and suppliers on test methods for confirming the quality of the products. This Task Force is chartered to develop new metrology and inspection standards and to maintain existing ones for the HB-LED- and related industries. The charter also includes any activities that are necessary for writing, maintaining, updating or improving metrology standards such as setting up working groups, arranging workshops, round robins and phone conferences.

2. Scope: (Define the specific activities that the TF will conduct.)
1. Generating new metrology and inspection standards, such as test methods or guides for measurement procedures for physical or chemical material characteristics.
2. Maintaining existing standards
3. Conducting round robins, if required, for determining precision, accuracy or bias statements for a particular method, or for generating reference materials.
