SEMI International Standards
TASK FORCE ORGANIZATION FORM (TFOF)
Date Prepared: 03/18/2019
Revised (if Applicable):

Name of Task Force (TF): Manufacturing Ownership Diversity (MOD)

Global Technical Committee: Metrics
Originating Technical Committee Region: North America

_____________________________________________________________________________
1. Charter: (State the objective of the proposed TF.)
Create a new SEMI standard covering Manufacturing Ownership Diversity.
Customers increasingly require diverse ownership within the semiconductor supply chain and there is not an efficient and consistent method to measure or assess success. It appears there are not many companies owned by diverse individuals based on preliminary searches. In addition, the industry is missing the innovation that comes from diverse ideas driven by supplier owners.

2. Scope: (Define the specific activities that the TF will conduct.)
This task force will meet regularly to define standards that contain the following:
1. Definitions needed for Manufacturing Ownership Diversity
2. Globally recognized method to determine a supplier is diverse (e.g. >51% owned, controlled, and operated)
3. Needs to be affordable and certified by a third party
4. Criteria for a public company to state they have a Supplier Diversity program

3. Formal linkages with TFs in other Regions/Locales: (Show each associated TF and its parent global technical committee; indicate nature of relationship – global TF, observer TF, etc.)
