1. Footnote 7 (on page 11) shows “ National Electrical Manufacturers Association, 2101 L Street, N.W., #300, Washington, D.C. 20037, USA, http://www.nema.org”
Update: According to nema.org, NEMA’s address is “1300 17th St N #900, Arlington, VA 22209, USA”.

Update: According to nfpa.org, the zip code should be “02169” (not “02269”). Also, the fax number of “617.770.0700” is no longer functional. Recommend just deleting the Fax number.
3. Footnote 10 (on page 12) shows, “10 U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C., USA, http://bookstore.gpo.gov/prf/ordinfo.html”
Update: The website in footnote 10 is no good. In addition, the official name for “GPO” should be “U.S. Government Publishing Office” (not “U.S. Government Printing Office”). It looks like the updated URL for the bookstore is
. If you visit the bookstore website (
), it states, “***ATTENTION***The United States Government Publishing Office (GPO) will permanently close its brick-and-mortar bookstore at 710 North Capitol Street NW in Washington, DC on January 4, 2021. Any inquiries can be directed to the Contact Center by dialing: 202-512-1800.” As such, I would recommend that we remove the reference to “Washington, D.C.”
4. Section A1-1.1 references “(See ANSI/NEMA Z535.3-1998 Informative Annex A for an example of symbol development guidelines”).
Update: “ANSI/NEMA Z535.3-1998” should be updated to “ANSI/NEMA Z535.3-2011 (R2017)”.
5. Consider proposal to revise German translation of “NOTICE”, from “HINWEIS” to “ACHTUNG” to align with pending revision in ANSI Z535.
At the ANSI Z535 Committee Meeting on March 4th, 2021, a proposal was made to update the German translation of the signal word “NOTICE”, from “HINWEIS” to “ACHTUNG”. This proposal was accepted by the ANSI Z535 Committee.
