Activity Number: 5529
SNARF for: New Standard: Specification of Job Management and Material Management for High Brightness LED Manufacturing Equipment (HB-LED JMMM)
SEMI International Standards
SEMI New Activity Report Form (SNARF)
1. Rationale: After publishing a general equipment communication interface (ECI) specification applicable to all HBLED manufacturing equipment based on the GEM standard, an additional specification is required to standardize the material management and job management features in full automation HBLED applications, such as the GEM 300 E39, E40, E87, E90, E94 standards in the Semiconductor industry. The additional standardization will be built upon the foundation of the HBLED ECI specification with additional concepts & requirements.
Rate the Estimated Effect on the Industry
1: Major effect on entire industry or on multiple important industry sectors
Rate the Estimated Technical Difficulty of the Activity
II: Some Difficulty - Disagreements on known requirements exist but developing consensus is possible
a: Define the areas to be covered or addressed by this activity or document:
Material Management and Job Management features in the new specification will be based on the GEM 300 standards (incl. E39, E40, E87, E90, E94 but not limited) yet with any additional features necessary for the HBLED industry.
