Bifacial solar modules are becoming more and more interesting to PV manufacturers as they can generate more power. While traditional solar modules only need sunny side testing to get the performance, bifacial solar modules generate power from the rear side. so it is not enough to perform the flasher test according to current flasher testing method.
Despite the advantage of bifacial modules, there is still no consensus power testing standard in the PV industry. Creation of an industry consensus standard will promote the development of bifacial solar, such as PERC bifacial crystalline solar modules, PERT bifacial crystalline solar modules, and HIT® modules.

This document will address to perform the I-V characteristic of bifacial module, double sides light source shall be applied to flash the bifacial sample at both surfaces. The synchronized control system flashes front surface at 1000 W/ m2, and rear surface with 100W/m2 at the same time to get the identical combined I-V data.
