1. Rationale:
a. Describe the need or problem addressed by this activity.
(Indicate the customer, what benefits they will receive, and if possible, quantify the impact on the return on investment [ROI] if the Document is implemented.)
The advantages of dye-sensitized solar cells are low manufacturing cost, low pollution, thin, light and flexible, etc. The innovative application of DSSC devices shall change people's lifestyle such as to integrate with indoor charging for 3C consumer and mobile devices anywhere.

Currently Standard Test Condition (STC, AM1.5G, 25 deg C, 1000 W/m2) is designed for traditional solar products (Si & TF),which is not suitable for DSSC product that only work for visible light spectrum (300 ~ 800 nm). Therefore, the extra mass data modification is required for DSSC test [1].

Comparing traditional solar products, DSSC product is more sensitive with temperature due to non-linear characteristics, so uniform temperature control platform is necessary.

Therefore, this activity shall develop a new performance test method to evaluate DSSC device’s spectrum response (SR). This activity shall also provide a DSSC guide line relative to R&D of material, QC of cell/module manufacturing process, and device/end-product qualification.

2. Scope:

This activity shall develop a new performance test method to evaluate DSSC device’s spectrum response (SR). This activity shall also provide a DSSC guide line related to R&D of material, QC of cell/module manufacturing process, and device/end-product qualification.

This new standard shall specify DSSC spectrum response (SR) test evaluation include items written as below:
(1) Provide a guide line to correct DSSC data measured under STC.
(2) Provide suitable statistic method to solve low response time issue for DSSC.
(3) Provide a new isothermal platform standard for DSSC.
