a. Describe the need or problem addressed by this activity.

In the advanced packaging manufacturing field, there is a need for FOUPs that can store rectangular panels that are compatible with automated transport for the production of Fan-Out, RDL interposers, etc.

FOUPs for large 515mm x 510mm panels and 600mm x 600mm panels have been standardized as E181, but there is a strong desire for standardization of FOUPs for 310mm square panels.

Note) Standardization of the 310mm square panel size is planned to be addressed in the revision of 3D20 in the NA PLP Panel TF.

This specification standard will be compatible with the existing standards E47.1, E57, and E62, and will clarify the following specifications:
l Number of panels stored (13 panels/20mm pitch) and panel location (x/y/z).
l FOUP outer size
l Panel support volume
l Exclusion Volume for End Effectors
l Port location
l Carrier ID tag location
