The Process Cell anchoring method addressed in this activity is part of a newly proposed modular Mainframe–Process Cell architecture. Unlike conventional stand-alone equipment installations, this system requires repeatable positioning, safe load support, and reliable seismic performance while enabling rapid replacement or hot-swap of process cells. Standardizing the anchoring concept—including anchor-block geometry, reference positions, and recommended stud-pin interfaces—will ensure consistent installation quality, improve interchangeability among suppliers, and reduce integration variability. These improvements are expected to shorten installation time, enhance maintainability, and contribute to lower total cost of ownership for end users.

This Standards Document defines the mechanical anchoring concept for Process Cells installed in Mainframe Garages. The scope includes anchor‑block reference positions, basic geometry, stud‑pin engagement concepts. It also defines the minimum number and placement of anchor blocks per slot.
