TASK FORCE ORGANIZATION FORM (TFOF)
Date Prepared: 12/25/2024
Revised (if Applicable):

Name of Task Force (TF): Local Area Sensing Network for FHE System Task Force

Global Technical Committee: Flexible Hybrid Electronics (FHE)
Originating Technical Committee Region: Taiwan

1. Charter: (State the objective of the proposed TF.)
Align with FHE TC charter to explore, evaluate, discuss, and create consensus based FHE standards pertaining to wearable applications, covering definition, design rule, verification methods, specifications, guidelines, and practices that, through voluntary compliance, will promote mutual understanding and improve communications between users and suppliers of FHE integrated systems, as well as enhance the design correctness and capability so as to improve the system efficiency and capability.

Nevertheless, there is no FHE system design and verification standard established for its Local Area Sensing Network (LASN). The FHE proposes to first work on FHE system architecture, design rule, verification methodology and related areas. It will be helpful to guide the FHE industry to establish system integration and bridge the link between the FHE local sensing area network and cloud computing for future development. The task force will include experts from two areas. One focuses on system architecture and communication protocol , while the other focuses more on unified attribute definition of sensing device and its performance verification.

2. Scope: (Define the specific activities that the TF will conduct.)
The scope of this FHE Local Area Sensing Network (LASN) task force will aim to explore and develop standards for local area sensing network to ensure effective and efficient communication between sensing devices, and between devices and sensor hub to existing Ethernet-based network architecture.
This includes developing standards and guidelines for sensing network architecture, associated bus protocol, definition of attribute of sensing devices, method of local data fusion, collaborated computing of edge devices, and etc., within limited bus capacity and available power resource.

It will also seek to support the supply chain needs for improving FHE product / process in a synchronized manner for Local Area Sensing Network applications.
